The Mat work, originally named Contrology by Mr. Joseph Pilates, is a series of challenging, well-balanced movements designed to develop the muscles of the body uniformly. The Mat exercises are performed on mats provided here in the studio— just bring yourself, a positive attitude, and a willingness to engage in focused and challenging movement.
Erica is a comprehensively certified Pilates Teacher and Master Teacher at The Pilates Garage. She holds a B.S. degree from the United States Military Academy at West Point (USMA). Her early passion for fitness carried her throughout high school and Division I collegiate athletics where she once held the USMA women’s track & field indoor and outdoor pole vault records. Upon graduation from USMA, she proudly served our country as an Adjutant General Officer in the US Army. Her personal & professional mission is to lead by positive example, and to inspire others to make healthy decisions with regards to their emotional, physical and mental well-being.
